Article Review
[edit]InfoBox Web Browser
The infobox web browser on the Wikipedia page can be compared to the summary page of an report. It summarizes the key information of the article, and indicates to the readers regarding the relevance of the article to what they are seeking. It is hence very important that the infobox web browser gives a good overview of their article. In this article, the infobox web browser is accurately concise and appropriate, hence value-adding the article as a whole.
Structure of Article
The structure of the article page conformed with Wikipedia’s format. It was clear with appropriate headings and subheadings, which makes it easier for readers to understand and to navigate within the page. The writers also made use of tables to classify their information of the competitors. The information to be presented was originally a huge chunk but the writers managed to sort them out into bite-sized information which allowed readers to digest and for better comparability. Apart from the competitors, the designation and scope of each founder were also classified in a similar manner.
Citations
Many different references are used in this article, which indicates substantial research and cross-checking of information on various third party sites. This allows for greater verifiability of the article. Also, due credits are given to the different sites as they were properly cited. This is also essential in ensuring that the article will not be removed by the Wikipedia admins. Also, readers are able to seek more information on these various third party sites with they see the need to.
Lack of flow in article
Despite writing in paragraph forms in the page, the article does not seem to flow smoothly but rather, written in point forms. This may be overlooked during the transfer of information of their external sources before shifting it into their sandbox and exporting it as an article. From the extensive research that the writers have done, it might not be as obvious to them because they now have an in-depth understanding of the topic. However, on Wikipedia when users are often seeking to clarify their understanding or to know more about the topic, they may have certain problems navigating around the page and getting information out of the page. To improve on this, the writers could have asked a third party to cross read and ensuring that there is a flow to the article. After all, the flow of an article is pivotal as to how much information can be translated into knowledge for the readers.
Lack of hyperlinks
Hyperlinks are so prevalent in most of the Wikipedia articles, that it seems only natural for every article to include them and they become an identity of all Wikipedia articles. Hyperlinks here, refer to the in-built direct link to other Wikipedia articles that provides more explanation and details about the specific word or topic. This is an in-built function on Wikipedia, that enables their readers to gain better insights to the article as a whole. It would have been better for the writers to include them to save the readers of the trouble of looking up on other information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiaaiwey (talk • contribs) 15:09, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on IBario. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20150423190430/http://www.unknownfile.com:80/ to http://www.unknownfile.com/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
