"Hurricane" is a song by Israeli-Russian singer Eden Golan

[edit]

why have you mentioned "Russian"? "Unicorn" is a song by Israeli singer-songwriter Noa Kirel.

I.M" is a song by Israeli singer Michael Ben David

"Toy" (Hebrew transliteration: טוי) is a song recorded by Israeli singer Netta Barzilai.

and I can go on and on.

Insert: Israel, with the help of the US, UK, Germany and others are committing a genocide, right now. Please boycott the Eurovision if you don't support genocide of the Palestinians. Over 35,000 are murdered so far, over 70% are women and children.

(If you're the person reading this suggested inclusion, its time to take a your stand for humanity. Do it!) 137.191.235.66 (talk) 12:03, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Honestly you sound like one of these campists who supports and/or criticizes a country based solely on whether the USA supports them or not. Tell me you think NATO pressured Russia into invading Ukraine without saying exactly that. Wikipedia's job is to provide a neutral point of view on subjects. Obviously what Israel has done is absolutely indefensible, but Wikipedia is Wikipedia. Zenphia1 (talk) 06:24, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Nascar9919! I'll be reviewing this article as soon as possible. I don't promise to be that fast, but I will try to be as fast as possible because I know how frustrating it is to wait so long. Very recent, yes, but I see that it is very stable. Best, Santi (talk) 19:34, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you so much for taking this on. Don't worry about rushing through this; I know this deals with a very complicated subject. Feel free to take as much time as you need. Cheers, and carpe diem! Nascar9919 (he/him • tc) 19:37, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • The sample of a song is not just added 'cause yes. Although its main function is to give the reader an idea about the song, there should be some emphasis during the body of the article on the part that you want to sample, and I don't see that there. Santi (talk) 19:28, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done. I didn't add that. That was someone else. But, I left it because "hey, maybe this is important in some way!" Deleted. Cheers, and carpe diem! Nascar9919 (he/him • tc) 19:33, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for believing that you were responsible of that. The same thing happened to me with Gelo DemonPlayer (without acting in bad faith), he was the one who put the samples of Feid's songs, and I was trying to find use for them. But well, something made me listen to "Hurricane" LOL. Santi (talk) 19:35, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    Yes, that's fine. Thanks. Santi (talk) 02:34, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Pollosito: Pinging as a reminder. Do you think you could get this finished within the week? Just checking in. Thanks! Cheers, and carpe diem! Nascar9919 (he/him • tc) 23:38, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Nascar9919: The next week. Don't worry, what I'm doing is prioritizing the most urgent reviews; that is, Shirt's, since PSA was the one who first asked me to finish this week. Furthermore, during these days I was doing very stressful laps that made me tired. I'll get back to it as soon as possible, when "Shirt" ends. Santi (talk) 00:07, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I also have to add something. Omert33 added the sample again, I already sent him a message about it and from then on he didn't make a single edit. Therefore, even if I review the article, I think it should end when this problem with the sample has been resolved. Also, with "the next week" I mean the week that starts tomorrow. I clarify just in case because I know that the schedule here is different and, therefore, it could be confusing. Santi (talk) 00:11, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In the last paragraph of Section 4.2 "At Eurovision" it states "The song was performed sixth in the final, ahead of The Netherlands' Joost Klein and before Lithuania's Silvester Belt." This should be updated to account for the fact that Joost Klein was disqualified, can use the following instead.

"The song was performed fifth in the final, ahead of Luxembourg's Tali and before Lithuania's Silvester Belt (Golan was originally set to perform sixth until the disqualification of The Netherlands' Joost Klein)" Snkn179 (talk) 09:01, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For genre in infobox, please use Pop Ballad

All three sources call it a pop ballad

Thank you! Or-Shalem (talk) 04:23, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Or-Shalem: I'll get to it. Thanks for the recommendation. Cheers, and carpe diem! Nascar9919 (he/him • tc) 04:38, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should just say "pop" in the genre= parameter as per ballad and sentimental ballad, "ballad" is not considered a genre on the English Wikipedia. If "ballad" is considered such crucial information, by all means, work "pop ballad" into the lead. That's a description of the genre and style of song. But leave out "ballad" from the genre parameter. Ss112 18:34, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's sourced as a pop ballad and there's a wikipedia article on it. I don't see the problem. Or-Shalem (talk) 16:53, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Or-Shalem (talk) 16:53, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please revert the genre change or just remove it entirely. Pop is so nondescript, it's better not to have it at all.
I don't see the problem with "pop ballad" used, as it is more descriptive and precise than simply "pop." Furthermore I've seen "ballad" used on other articles before and the sentimental ballad page says nothing about it not being a genre (it is literally called a "style" there) and the song is cited as being such universally.
Having "pop" is worse than nothing at all and I don't appreciate the genre change without a proper discussion. Please either remove it or revert it back; it's misleading right now. Or-Shalem (talk) 17:08, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
