Although there is a photo of a large Hummel statue, and it is similar in shape, it is not representative of the Hummel figurines. --Emana (Talk) 16:56, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kleenex?

[edit]

I have not heard anybody refer to figurines in general as "hummels" or even use the word hummel to describe anything by M.I.Hummel brand figurines. I HAVE heard people say "figurines like Hummel" and "little children like Hummels". Are there any publications out there that may support generic usage? -- Emana 21:22, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not exactly a publication, but all references to these figurines in Better Call Saul involve the usage of "Hummels" as a reference to a bunch of the figurines or the figurines as a class--so I'd suspect it's used often enough that works of fiction use it this way to imitate life. This isn't the greatest of sites, but here are some lazy captions from the show that you can Ctrl+F through here and here. 96.41.225.223 (talk) 18:42, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
