Bias covering entry/departure points
[edit]The article is not written objectively. Twice the southern border with Egypt is mentioned, and only once is the only international airport mentioned. Although it is always convenient for propagandists to have a fall-guy or undesireable minority, there are two blatantly misguiding bits in the article, concerning "Bedouin smugglers" and the African immigrants.
- Africans (including the Falashim) are largely discriminated against in Israel, where polls have suggested that over 50 percent of Israelis have heard rumours or information that they are disease-ridden (HIV), to such an extent that even the government itself destroyed huge quantities of blood, donated by serving IDF soldiers of African origin. Concerning "sexual" human trafficking, such public perception is also manifest in the market, thus reducing demand for African sex-slaves; a far larger number of trafficked women in Israeli sex-slavery originate from north of the Black Sea.
- Bedouins, along with miltary, border-forces, and intelligence services in both Israel and Egypt do participate in transport of contraband, but the Bedouin themselves do not have the capacity nor capability to transport the numbers of trafficked people we see today without substantial assistance from the others. Therefore, it would be intellectually dishonest and biased to suggest in the article that the Bedouins are to blame for the "primary" smuggling operations. Additionally, many Bedouins are soldiers in the Israeli Military, commonly used to shoot Arabs deflecting cries of racism.[1]
By far, the vast majority of victims of trafficking, sex-slaves, indentured labourers, etc. have arrived inside Israeli-controlled territory with the knowledge of the "authorities", i.e. having crossed Israeli immigration and customs checkpoints. The reputation that Israelis have high-quality terrorism countermeasures and surveillance indicates that the land-routes are in fact secured, also by a border-fence, satellite surveillance, UAV`s and other sensor-arrays. Organised criminal networks in Israel have the knowhow, capacity and capability of using commercial airline travel in a more risk-averse setting than along the southern border. The Bedouins (nor the Arabs[2]) do not control the Sea-routes, nor the airspace, thus the emphasis on Bedouins should not appear in the article unless balanced with references to air and sea. Border authority CEO stripclub scandal
[edit]It seems that the head of Israeli Airports Authority (Eli Marom) became encaged in a scandal having been reported revelling in a party where women were encouraged to dance without clothing. Oversight of the authority tasked to enforce the committments made to eradicate sexual-slavery trafficking was given to Eli Maron following the Navy raid on the humanitarian-flotilla of which he was the head of the navy. The bias shown in previous versions of this article claiming that southern border is the "main route for human-trafficking" without acknowledging the trafficking through the airport and Haifa, Red Sea, and Oil seaports is merely compounded by omission of the sex-worker industry.

- The IAA is not in charge of granting/denying entry - the police and other agencies do that. The IAA operates others aspects of crossings. Regardless - a source is required both for the scandal involving this WP:BLP and, to avoid WP:SYNTH, a source tying the scandal of that BLP to this article.Icewhiz (talk) 16:35, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- One questions whether due diligence is of concern to Icewhiz; Both a Member of the Israeli Parliament ("Knesset") and the Head of the Israeli Military have made well-publicized statements regarding the scandal involving Eli Marom so much so that citations are on the Eli Marom article, which one should have checked. Had one checked the Eli Marom article and continued to deny that the Marom is the BORDER CHIEF, well, one wouldn`t need to be a Chief Prosecutor to think that such would be a conflict-of-interest. - The scandal can be sourced - which you did not do. Regardless of sourcing - the relevance of Marom as IAA chief (a body in charge of transit, but not border control) to this article (or said club visit years prior to being appointed) has not been established by a RS.Icewhiz (talk) 18:55, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
