Should we consider a listing of books authored by Segal? Codydamon (talk) 19:06, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Very bad photo

[edit]

I took a better photo and released it under a Creative Commons license, but when I added it to this post it was removed by another user. See discussion at: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:Peripitus#Photo_of_Hugh_Segal

May I please put my photo back in this article? The one here now seems specially chosen to make the subject look bad.

I still think it is inappropriate that the photo I uploaded for this page was deleted: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Hugh_Segal,_Master_of_Massey_College.jpg

Having no photo would probably be better than keeping the current one, which seems to have been specially selected to show the subject in an unflattering light.

It seems others have already explained to you that the policy is to disallow non-free images when a free alternative is readily available. Short of trying to change the Wikipedia-wide policy, I don't know that there is anything else you can do short of licensing your photo under a free licence (e.g, CC-BY-SA).
