Fair use rationale for Image:Huffer-dreamwave.jpg
[edit]Image:Huffer-dreamwave.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Huffer's alledged ressurrection
[edit]Some facts:
1. Carnage in C-Minor has many, many animation errors.
2. That very scene where Huffer appears also shows the dead Brawn and the Constructicon Bonecrusher firing at the very weapon he just helped construct. 'Huffer' is also coloured like Gears.
3. This Wikipedia article links to an image uploaded onto Teletraan I, the Transformers Wikia, and somehow nobody editing this wikipedia article noticed that the image was used by Teletraan I for the purposes of humour and an example of an Animation Error.
With this in mind, I don't know how in the hell it was decided to take the image at face value and declare Huffer is alive and well. - FFN
- And it got edited AGAIN. Please, Mathew Ignash, please explain to us WHY exactly this is supposed to be evidence for Huffer's survival before you edit the article AGAIN.--87.164.105.115 (talk) 17:33, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- And he keeps editing the article without bothering to check the discussion page.--87.164.109.212 (talk) 12:21, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
I believe the article has found a good comprimise, taking a neutral position on the issue and simply reporting the facts. Mathewignash (talk) 13:10, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- It ignores the fact that "Carnage in C-Minor" IS full of animation errors. Unless you think Hot Spot fighting alongside Defensor, Ultra Magnus picking up tiny Constructicons, a tiny Blaster flying in front of a ginormous Soundwave, Soundwavs sporting an Autobot logo, Soundwave as the universe's biggest tape deck, flat Ultra Magnus, Broadside with two differently detailled arms, Superion being the same size as Perceptor and Devastator being the same size as Soundwave are also to be taken at face value. "Stating the facts" does not equal "ignoring obvious evidence just for the sake of being anal about sticking soloely to the facts".--87.164.109.212 (talk) 15:11, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- Apparently the "facts" don't include the destruction of the mausoleum, and Huffer's body, in Dark Awakening. --ItsWalky! (talk) 18:45, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
Confusion with Grapple?
[edit]" Huffer also was frustrated by the fact that whatever he built ended up being destroyed by Decepticon combat. It was his wish to build something that would not be destroyed in the war."
I'm not sure, but I think there might be some confusion with Grapple here.
I've never seen Huffer building anything, but in the episode "Auto Berserk" it's Grapple who expresses this view. ("Some day I want to build something that doesn't get trashed", after the entrance to the bunker had been destroyed.)
I don't want to edit the article because I'm not completely sure. Does anyone know?
Harujishnu (talk) 10:39, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Huffer made this observation in the book "Autobots Lightning Strike", and also it's mentioned in his Marvel Transformers Universe profile. He was the mechanical engineer in the 1984 toy line, but they never used this much in the TV show. Mathewignash (talk) 22:12, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok, admittedly I only know the show.
But the line I quoted is in the "Animated series" section, and may be somewhat confusing in this place.

Image copyright problem with File:Armorhide-movie.jpg
[edit]The image File:Armorhide-movie.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
