Expansion
[edit]Just a heads-up to any who may be watching this page: I'm planning an edit and expansion to include brief sections on all the prominent Baratheons: Renly, Stannis, Joffrey, Myrcella, and Tommen. I'm trying to get all the aSoIaF character pages reasonably accurate and consistent, since most of them are in rough shape. Brendan 00:57, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
- Wonderful news. Arbor 11:59, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
- Brendan, I added the reference that Lord Steffon was Aerys II's first cousin under his entry. In a flashback scene in Feast, Rhaegar refers to Robert as our cousin. If Steffon truly was thought of as a part of the family, it explains a probable reason why Lord Steffon was sent to find Rhaegar's bride. OBA 11:32, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Lannister or Baratheon?
[edit]shouldnt the children be under the lannister article, as they are only baratheons in name?--AeomMai 00:19, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- That's an interesting question. (You could ask a similar one about whether the Tully daughters belong there or at Arryn and Stark.) I originally added them to this article precisely because they're Baratheons in name; their last name is formally Baratheon whether they 'deserve' it or not, so I placed them here. Proved they're somewhere, I don't personally care either way. Brendan Moody 00:41, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- Most people will look for Tommen Baratheon, which is what most people call him in the books as well. So House Baratheon it is. Being "Baratheon in only name" is quite enough. Arbor 06:00, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Why not put any questionable characters in both houses since their lineage technically comes from both and they're part of both houses?
Robert's Bastard's
[edit]Considering the attention given to Robert's bastards in Gendry, Edric and possibly Mia I was thinking that more attention be given to them in a possible sidenote to Robert's section. Can anyone think of a better place to put this info than here? NeoFreak 12:06, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I agree wholeheartedly, especially in Gendry's case. He may not yet have been a POV character, but he has been a consistent character in all of the novels so far and needs some credit.
Family tree
[edit]The way the current family tree is made has some disadvantages. The most important is that at one pc it looks different then on another. I think it has something to do with the screen resolution. I think a different sort of tree will serve better (like the trees of House Tully or House Frey. But before changing it I would like to know if other people agree. Scafloc 08:25, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
There should be a "spoiler alert" on this article (and any others that reveal things in later books) for those of us that have not yet read all the books. Thank you. Moreta63 00:59, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
