Suggested merge

[edit]

Partial duplication: Horace Ridler has better text and references; Omi the Great has pictures. Tearlach 14:32, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree with the merge. When I authored the Horace Ridler entry, I searched for references to The Great Omi and found none. Merging the articles under his acutal name would alleviate any confusion, especially as he rarely referred to in literature as Omi the Great. The pictures in the Omi the Great article are excellent and would really finish out the article nicely. Glowimperial 18:17, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

As there have been no objections, merge done. Omi the Great now redirects to Horace Ridler. Tearlach 00:22, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

New York Times News

[edit]

There was no New York Times News; perhaps the Daily News was intended, as the only reference to Horace Ridler in the historical Times file at JSTOR is in a review of the exhibition "Body Art" at the American Museum of Natural History, 19 November 1999; it mentions in passing "Maj." Horace Ridler's taking up residence at "Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium" in Manhattan.--Wetman (talk) 22:58, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Channel 4 short

[edit]

Also of interest: the Channel 4 short, in .RAM format, is online here. Tearlach 22:55, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

channel4.com/film/reviews/film.jsp?id=111307 now forwards to film4.com and that video doesn't seem to be at that new website. --EarthFurst (talk) 21:17, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
