Fair use rationale for Image:SCO - Hopelessly.jpg

[edit]

Image:SCO - Hopelessly.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Copy Editing

[edit]

Revised article for a more appropriate tone. Also completely removed this from the summary:

There are several variations of this sound, but if you asked the bartender for a "Spain Colored Orange", here's what you'd get: Abbey Road-era Beatles/Spoon/Brazil 66/ELO/Elliott Smith/Buena Vista Social Club/John Lennon/Olivia Tremor Control/Os Mutantes with an Orange twist, of course.

I'm not sure exactly what this is supposed to mean, but it is original research. If you can find a source for this, feel free to add it back into the article.

I left the exclamation points in the awards section, as it is unclear whether they are part of the award name. Also added a tag for references.Chris Fjordson 21:48, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Awards and nominations

[edit]

I changed the name of the awards section to "Awards and nominations". I have searched the Houston Press website, but cannot find a list of the 2006 Music Award winners. I did, however, find a list of nominees that included Spain Colored Orange and have changed the page to reflect what I found. If you do find a source that conforms to the policy on verifiability, please update the page and cite the source. Also, If someone does eventually create a page for the band, some of the award information should be merged onto that page

I found the source for the awards, but only one of them applies to the album itself. The others apply to the band, and should be merged onto the band's page. I am in the process of creating the page for Spain Colored Orange, which can be viewed here. Until the page is finished, I am moving the other awards here:
  • Best Indie Rock
  • Local Musician of the Year
  • Best Drummer (Steve Torres)
  • Best Keyboardist (Gilbert Alfaro)
