Merger

[edit]

It's a tough one: on one hand I think the genus should have its own article, but on the other it is mostly duplicated content. I'll think about for a while and see if I can convince myself one way or the other. Yomangani 00:23, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hum, the way it looks now they should be merged, BUT see e.g. Nurse shark and Nurse sharks, taxobox is wrong, should not state binomial name, should state genera! So my bot screwed up, since it found a binomial name it have linked to the wrong things, should be separate articles since they are made, I want Project sharks to make sure we have genera articles for all shark genera. But this genera article should be updated/corrected. But if we decide to merge, the genera should be redirected to the species. I do not have time to do update now, but will do tomorrow. I've decided I'm against merging. The genus and the species aren't the same just because there is only one (known) member, and being stubs isn't grounds for deletion, so what harm does it do? Yomangani 11:23, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good! Stefan 13:35, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm happy with that, I'll remove the tags and leave things as they are! Richard Barlow 14:14, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
