Not familiar with the standards for pages relating to China but surely the Republic of China should be referred to as 'Taiwan' continually, and the subsection about Taiwan/ROC and the visual link to that nation's president should be changed to 'President of Taiwan'. I think if such an expression is changed, it would have political biases since this term is used by Beijing who do not recognize the existence of the Republic of China. "Republic of China" is the name of the country and a neutral term, and meets Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. GoldWitness (talk) 02:26, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
With respect, I disagree with this assessment. Taiwan is the common name and should be used here. This article is not about the distinction between the ROC vs. PRC or ROC vs. Taiwan. Most readers will understand what Taiwan is; if they would like to learn more, the article Taiwan has sufficient explanation. Butterdiplomat (talk) 23:48, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Split Request: Creating a Seperate Page Related to the Case
SplitHong Kong 47 into Hong Kong 47 and HKSAR v NG Ching-hang and Others. This article talks more about the relevant cases than the 47 democratic activists themselves, which is unbalanced in weight. Content related to the case, HKSAR v NG Ching-hang and Others, takes up so much content that it deserves an independent article. Considering other articles related to a legal case usually uses the case citation, like HKSAR v Lai Chee Ying, I believe HKSAR v NG Ching-hang and Others is the best new title. If agreed, I will do the split. GoldWitness (talk) 02:55, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
