[edit]the SVG images are broken -- they appear correctly on my computer when downloaded but fail to fill text classes c0 and c1 when loaded from the wiki. Could these be replaced by proper PNG images?

This description of the synthesis is nicely done, but I have one criticism - especially for a general audience like the readers of Wikipedia (and even for specialists) we should avoid as much a possible the use of acronyms, especially when there no compelling space or readability reason to use them. So why use abbreviations like TES and TMS when SiEt3 and SiMe3 use almost no more space, and are instantly recognized by a much larger group of readers? Even TBS could be replaced by SitBuMe2 without problem.ChemistHans (talk) 20:51, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
