Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Holly Williams (American singer-songwriter) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 20:32, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • The discussion is closed so I am posting here instead.
This shows that Oxford Dictionary defines a "features writer" as a "journalist".] Therefore the recent article moves that were done (re: the 3 different "Holly Williams") were incorrect in how they addressed disambig issues.
The missed disambig issue is that the Wikipedia article "Holly Williams (journalist)" is about an Australian woman - whereas the Welsch woman, also Holly Williams, who is now called a "writer" by Wikipedia is, in fact, also a jounalist.
There are two article move solutions to this dillema--
  • 1) Change "Holly Williams (writer)" to "Holly Williams (journalist and theatre critic)",
  • or 2) change the articles to "Holly Williams (Australian journalist)" and "Holly Williams (Welsch journalist)", respectively.
The second option, although less precise, will also be less confusing for search engine functions. Keep in mind that ALL Wikipedia articles depend on search engines, and if those results get confused, the Wikipedia articles become less accessible.
Thoughts?
