Promotional Material ???

User:Mean as custard has been deleting large sections of this article with the justification that it is self promotional. This diff is the example [1].

Whilst I share some of the sentiment, the deletion of large sections of articles is not good practice, especially without any discussion on the talk page. Looking through this users edit log, I see a history of deleting content on the basis that it is advertising. Most of this users edits are done without discussion. I believe that [[[User:Mean as custard]] is showing a lack of WP:NPOV and needs to be more WP:CONSENSUS. Bhtpbank (talk) 10:18, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

My reversion applied solely to a large edit made by a user (who has made no other edits to Wikipedia) on 30.5.13. It was clearly intended to be promotional and it was impossible to separate out the flagrant advertising from the potentially useful (but uncited) material. In general, the WP:CONSENSUS on similar edits of mine in the past has been favourable. . Mean as custard (talk) 10:37, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
I disagree. Your reversion has deleted many sections that had verifiable content. You are also now in violation of WP:3RR. Bhtpbank (talk) 11:20, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

I made the changes based on the recommendation from Ansaldo STS - as I am an employee there. All the information is verifiable from public sources, the company website, or history books about the company. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.165.27.130 (talk) 12:06, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Changes made June 19, 2013 were authorized by the company and verifiable publicly. Before removing anything, please notify via this link and a discussion can be opened. This is not promotional material, simply an overview of the company's history and activities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gloriorj (talkcontribs) 17:14, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

Company may have been restructured within Hitachi

Website does not exist anymore, CEO has moved to a position in the main Hitachi Rail family.

Following the purchase of Thales Hitachi may be repositioning itself, not sure how this would affect this page
