The translation 'quick not in wits, but words' is not correct. The expression "трезвонить лишь горазд" in the poem is given in the direct sence: трезвонить means 'ring bells', that was a favorite occupation of Fyodor Ioannivich. So the entire phrase says: 'not strong with mind, only able to ring bells'. Takao-rus (talk) 10:45, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
