History
[edit]The truth is that I don't know baseball at all. I landed here doing research. I see some major conflicting information and I wonder if it should be incorporated here. According to LA Almanac the Angels were purchased in 1921 by Wrigley. Then in 1924, Wrigley Field began construction and opened in 1925, where the Angels began playing. However this article makes no mention of this. It is confusing because it reads "The Angel moniker has always been natural for Los Angeles teams, since The Angels is a literal English translation of the Spanish Los Angeles. It was also a nod to the long-successful PCL team that played in Los Angeles from 1903 through 1957." Shouldn't that be in the early history? I can't figure it out because the dates don't match. Really, I came here for one reason, to learn if the Angels were a pro team in 1938 and now I leave without really knowing. Perhaps someone with more knowledge and sources can clear this up, in the future. MagnoliaSouth (talk) 21:11, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
