On New Page Creation[edit]

I have created a new page for the History of Rome, Georgia. I explained this intention on the Rome, Georgia, discussion page on November 24, 2010, with no feedback. I feel that the history section in the city article is quite long and is not consistent with the guidelines set forth in Wikipedia:USCITY. The history section is, however, quite good with much potential and in my opinion has long necessitated a separate page. This will allow interested readers a deeper glimpse into Rome's history and allow the history section on the city page to be shortened, creating what I hope will be an article with better readability. I have copied and pasted the history section into this new article, and for that I apologize, but the introductory paragraph is originally written. Please offer any opinion regarding this creation and change, and please feel free to make good edits, especially building upon the section on the Depression and creating a 20th century heading. Additionally, please help shorten and rewrite the history section on the main Rome city article. Thanks. GoDawgs1 (talk) 04:48, 2 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
