If it did not become a dominion until 1907, then what is the heading Dominion of Newfoundland doing well before the mid19th century?

15th/16th century history
[edit]Greetings. I think, the early part of the history, especially in the 15th/16th century, really needs more coverage. E.g., there are until today a lot of portuguese geograpical designations out there, which give proof of the portuguese involvement in this area at that time. [edit]We will be updating (expanding) this article soon with text from User:Newfoundlander&Labradorian/Sandbox..pls edit the sand box at will. We will also be moving the "Bibliography" section to its own page Bibliography of Newfoundland and Labrador history ..like with *Bibliography of Nova Scotia
