I'll review this article at some point over the next 72 hours. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 23:54, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay, I'll complete tonight. The lead reads fine, got that far at least. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 15:23, 11 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the issues I found:

  • "no team to play in it, he decided to form" so he decided
  • "but as the season went on and Liverpool" and as Liverpool
  • "This was a knockout match, between Liverpool and the bottom team in the First Division. They beat Newton Heath to move up to the First Division" comma after match should be removed, and combining these sentences would read better.
  • How many teams were in the First Division at the turn of the century? if it's always been the same then that's fine, if it was different then noting how many there were at some point may be beneficial.
  • "had been signed from Hibernian in 1898, he" should be period instead of comma
  • "Division, like the previous" semicolon instead of comma
  • File:Certificate of change of name to liverpool fc.jpg can be moved to commons. It's not required, just throwing it out as an option.

Up to inter-war years. Will do rest tomorrow; wanted to finish but my brain's craving sleep and won't let me continue. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 04:22, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, I've fixed the issues you've brought up so far, will move the image to the commons when I've got a bit more time on my hands, thanks for reviewing the article, greatly appreciated. NapHit (talk) 09:53, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Here's the rest of my issues:

  • "the war for the 1919–20 season; a season" comma instead of semicolon
  • "Incidentally during the season" comma before during
  • "to manage Oldham Athletic, he was replaced" semiclolon instead of comma
  • "declined.This had" add space
  • "They entered the 1923–24 season, aiming to win" no comma needed
  • "Liverpool often finished mid-table and were inconsistent;" change to period
  • "Hodgson was sold to Aston Villa in 1936, the club" and the club
  • What was the first season played postwar? Note it; i assume it's 1945-46 but i could be wrong.
  • "players ha been at the" had been
  • "The form declined towards the end" Their form

I'll put the article on hold and will pass it when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:26, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again, I've addressed everything apart from moving the image to the commons. NapHit (talk) 15:35, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. I'll pass the article as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 16:24, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
