Weird problem on date of enactment

[edit]

The date of enactment of the HIRE Act is March 18, 2010. The coding in the introduction seems to look OK, but when reading the article, I see that it comes out as "June 2010, 03", which of course makes no sense. I'm not sure how to correct the coding. I have provided a temporary "fix" for the problem. Famspear (talk) 04:29, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Allegedly (http://www.sovereignman.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/kit3.html), Section 1471-1474, the Foreign Accounting Tax Compliance Act of HIRE, mandates registration of international financial transactions with any American banks. First, is this so? Second, if so, should it be included in the article?211.225.30.91 (talk) 00:30, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The correct name of FATCA is Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act. I am adding a separate page on FATCA. Seniorexpat (talk) 08:29, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Bias?

[edit]

The following written seems off to me: Often characterized as a "jobs bill," the Democrats in Congress insist that it is only one piece of a broader job creation legislative agenda, along with the Travel Promotion Act and other bills.

Does anyone else get the vibe that this implies that someone is not telling the truth? I'm inclined to rewrite it. Phearson (talk) 04:29, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
