Keep

Hilary Teague was one of the key guys - arguably THE key guy - who clamored for Liberia's independence from the American Colonization Society and steered the country toward independence in the 1840s. He was also a member of the Liberian Senate (national legislature) and the country's first Secretary of State. Not to mention he was one of Liberia's earliest journalists and missionaries. You cannot talk about Liberian history - especially the history surrounding its independence - without Teague. On several fronts, he merits an entry on Wikipedia. Especially since there is also pre-existing entry for Lott Carey (who did a lot of work with Teague), as well as pre-existing entries for less-influential Liberian figures.Bookerrising (talk) 09:59, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name

Going by my research, this should likely be Hilary Teage. The leading biographer appears to be Carl Patrick Burrowes and he always uses the Teage spelling.
