Google search for "High Sheriff of Hertfordshire" restricted to UK sites brought up the information I've added on the article page. Needs fleshing out. Emeraude 17:14, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is a good source here which lists every high sheriff and has some background info on the post. It would be a very ueful start point for a rebuild of this article. I may attempt it myself if I can find time but I only found it as a result of another large project I am undertaking so if someone else wants to take it on they are more than welcome as I may never get around to it. If anyone cares to take a look at High Sheriff of Cheshire you will see that I've managed to find virtually all the original announcements of Sheriffs back to 1850. Sheriffs of Hertfordshire will be in the same annual lists. David Underdown (talk) 11:05, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
