Checking is no longer valid and needs to be carried out again, since huge amounts of new content has been added. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 16:20, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Look out for possible copyright violations in this article

[edit]

This article has been found to be edited by students of the Wikipedia:India Education Program project as part of their course-work. Unfortunately, many of the edits in this program so far have been identified as plain copy-jobs from books and online resources and therefore had to be reverted. See the India Education Program talk page for details. In order to maintain the WP standards and policies, let's all have a careful eye on this and other related articles to ensure that no copyrighted material remains in here. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 16:20, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I notice the term "we" appears in the new text extensively, which suggests its from a text book or course material. I'd like to keep a copy of this new material though if it is deleted, as I can rework it to not be a copyvio and add lots of information to this otherwise empty article. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 16:40, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The pictures incorporated into the article looked "too good" to be the uploader's "own work" under such adverse conditions as found in a factory. Uploader on Commons was Sayali Bharambe ([1]) and I guess this can be associated with WP account Sayali_bharambe (talk · contribs) as well. Checking them, I found them to be copyrighted works by others.
The other pictures uploaded by this user might be copyvios as well, but I could not track them down so far. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 19:53, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
All six of them have now been deleted from Commons as copyvios. Voceditenore (talk) 12:45, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:YSD-Huge-Heavy-Duty-Press-Brake-764728.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:YSD-Huge-Heavy-Duty-Press-Brake-764728.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request
