History

[edit]

It would be great to have information about the indigenous people that lived in the Hervey Bay area discussed here. User:Centophobia

Too many pictures

[edit]

Way too many images on this site IMHO - how about setting up a gallery - or pointing the reader to Commons as at the moment the article looks more like a comic strip (in terms of pictures) than an encyclopaedic article.--VS talk 11:15, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Population

[edit]

I have changed the population to the ABS Urban Centre/Locality figure. This statistic matches the areas mentioned in the localities section. The previous population was higher but was sourced to a dead link. There was another figure at the ABS for a larger area. It might be better suited for the article. - Shiftchange (talk) 20:03, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Happiest place in Australia

[edit]

Hervey Bay was supposedly voted as the happiest place in Australia. However the attributed source is from Current Affair news program who have a tendency to be sensational. So not sure if it's appropriate to add it in. But having said that, the bay definitely has a bit of a common reputation for being the happiest place in Australia and I hear people repeating it often. Should it be included or not? [1] Nvtuil (talk) 09:02, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
