Scandal

[edit]

What is the unidentified "scandal" that forced Herman's resignation? --Jfruh (talk) 09:58, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There was no scandal: Herman let the monastery function on the Christianity need-based rules which meant that any surplus would be taken by clergy. They were never rich though. He managed to pay decent wages to the professors at the seminary. when he left, they were all fired. The monks started a mutiny based on his strict monastic rules which he forced them to obey. Herman is a righteous man. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.201.35.64 (talk) 18:27, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
