His accent?
[edit]Why does it say that he uses his accent for comic effect? All people from the Twente region speak more or less like him, so there's nothing exaggerated about it. The remark indicates that he magnifies his accent on purpose, to gain easy laughs. This is like stating that eg. Tommy Cooper exploited his British accent to make people laugh. That is total nonsense, for he wouldn't know anything else.
