  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
  • Lead is a little short.
    • Expanded.
  • Remove those refs from the lead.
    • Done.
  • Cite full name in body.
    • Done.
  • Added commons cat.
  • The early life section could probably be combined with the sports section since they both talk about his early life.
    • Done.
  • "Malden Y. M. C. A. team" link YMCA?
    • Done.
  • "He played in basketball" change to "participated in" You don't "play" athletics.
    • Done.
  • "the area pole vault and running high dive marks" link pole vault. Not sure if there is a link for high dive??
    • Linked pole vault, not sure of a link to high dive.
  • "Gidney set what was at the time the" commas "Gidney set, what was at the time, the"
    • Done.
  • "running high jump" link?
    • Done.
  • "Gidney won the B. A. A. athletic tournament in 1904" What's BAA?
  • "Gidney joined the Boston Athletic Association in the early 1900s" If BAA from above is the same as this, then write it out in full above and then change this line to B. A. A.
  • "was a member of their famous 1905 team" how was the 1905 team famous?
    • Removed the 'famous' part (since I'm not sure why). I re-worded a bit the part of him joining the BAA.
  • Shouldn't 1906 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships be linked somewhere in this section?
    • Linked.
  • "Gidney broke the Boston Athletic Association" abbreviate.
    • Done.
  • "he placed third in his heat" link heat.
  • Shame Edward Leader was moved to draftspace.
  • "He retired in 1912 from athletics.[6] Gidney had collected over 250 trophies from tournaments won by that time." This section is out of order. The next paragraph talks about him competing in 1908.
    • Reorganized.
  • No date for the infobox pic I presume? If you have to guess, let's just leave it out.
    • The newspaper article was from 1912. No date though.
  • Added cat: American military personnel of World War I.
  • Link comptroller?
    • Done.

I think that's everything. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 14:20, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
