Bengal Governor

From the article, it looks like he was appointed the governor in 1759 but took the office in 1760. It would be better if we clear up the ambiguity. The intro has it as 1759-64 but it is 1760-64 (it was 1765 till a moment ago) in Governor of Bengal. Britannica uses 1760-64. Tintin (talk) 00:45, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Companions on Last Voyage

The principal companion in the three man commission of which Vansittart was part is named as "Lord Scruton". Although it may have been in the writer's source, this is erroneous as I have found no such title person in reference works on the peerage or in the Dictionary of National Biography. The two others, confirmed in their respective articles in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, were LUKE SCRAFTON and Francis Forde. I have therefore deleted Lord Scruton and substituted Luke Scrafton.Cloptonson (talk) 14:15, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
