South Australia?

[edit]

It seems a little unsure whether Henry Kingscote the cricketer and Henry Kingscote the South Australian Company director are the same person, but it seems likely. From the profile of Kingscote's life by "Canon Nisbet" in "The Sunday at Home", vol. 30 (1883), p. 146-9, it is evident that Kingscote the cricketer was active as a banker in London around the right time, and that he was interested in settlement issues. The profile doesn't mention his involvement with Australia, but Kingscote evidently dropped out of the company's activities in about 1841, so perhaps the biographer in 1883 had no knowledge of it. I don't see any evidence that there were two Henry Kingscotes active at the time. Brianyoumans (talk) 01:41, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Page move

[edit]

As per the discussion referred to at the other Henry Kingscote's talk page, both page names were changed to reduce confusion. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 06:24, 9 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
