Oil paintings
[edit]Copied from Henry Peach Robbinson's oil paintings, contributed by Burton'jon Blackwell (talk · contribs): needs work on sourcing. Gordonofcartoon (talk) 01:19, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Much has been documented about Henry Peach Robinson's photo art. There is very little information regarding his oil paintings, other than the mentioned Teme painting that was once exhibited at the Royal Academy of Art near London. It is well know that Henry Peach Robinson produced oil paintings up and until the end of 1852. His oil paintings were prerequisite in theme to his photo art works. he signed some of his oil paintings by printing "Peach" in a lower corner. The subject matter was similar to his later photo art, in the respect he painted rural scenes with attractive working women subjects. His photo art is well known and exhibited on line, but, only one of his early oil paintings is know to exist. "Watering Cows" is in a private in home art gallery, located in the Art District of Minneapolis in Minnesota. This was painted in 1852 and signed Peach in the lower right hand corner. It reflects all of later photo art work...like "Fading Away". "Watering Cows" is the only known survivor of his many oil productions.
