Coeducational status
[edit]There is bit of a myth that Florida State University was always a female-only institution. This is incorrect. FSU started out as an all-male school then became a coeducational school for the vast majority of its existence. FSU was changed by Buckman's law in 1905 to female-only status, which lasted only to 1947 when it was returned to coeducational status. UF's history is similar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.254.211.230 (talk) 13:46, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
