Legacy

[edit]

The whole paragraph on Plessy in the Legacy section reads like an opinion piece. Who is being quoted in this sentence: "Brown will always be linked with Plessy, but in the context of his entire life perhaps he should not wholly be defined by one decision—deplorable as it is—out of the thousands of cases he capably handled during three decades on the federal bench." ? It should be removed, not only because it is against Wikipedia rules about original writing, but also because it is needlessly apologetic. People should be presented with the facts and they can draw their own conclusions Pearl2525 (talk) 01:59, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

?

[edit]

I reversed a bit of very unencyclopedic conjecture and personal opinion regarding Jusice Brown in order to make the article more scholarly. 65.28.2.172 05:52, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Retirement

[edit]

On List of Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, it says retirement. On this page, it says nothing about it. Better do something. -- Toytoy July 2, 2005 03:38 (UTC)

prod

[edit]

I removed the prod on this article, which said that the subject was not notable. An Associate Justice is clearly notable. -- Bpmullins | Talk 07:29, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bot-created subpage

[edit]

A temporary subpage at User:Polbot/fjc/Henry Billings Brown was automatically created by a perl script, based on this article at the Biographical Directory of Federal Judges. The subpage should either be merged into this article, or moved and disambiguated. Polbot (talk) 16:30, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
