Levon
[edit]Where is Levon Helm's name on the list of famous people from West Helena? His likeness appears in a mural on the levy wall in the town.67.83.31.33 00:27, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
Hackers
[edit]Hackers are editing out parts relating to the 24-hour curfew that this town's city council recently imposed. How do I report this to Wikipedia so that, at a minimum, we can get some protection on this article? Utipossidetis (talk) 14:51, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Update: I just added a section pertaining to the recent imposition of the 24-hour curfew. I was sure to save the text this time. The hackers will not win this battle. Utipossidetis (talk) 16:54, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Utipossidetis, there only seems to be a few instances of vandalism. (I only see three or four.) You can always click the undo button on the page's edit history to eliminate a single edit. Or, if it gets really bad, you can request that the page be protected against anonymous edits at this page. This might happen, as the curfew gets reported more and more (e.g., it was on CNN recently). justinfr (talk) 22:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
1930s
[edit]"It has been said that Helena was a little Chicago back in the 1940s and 1950s..."
Should this not be "1930s and 1940s"? At least one source--the one cited later in the same paragraph, Robert Palmer's Deep Blues--suggests so:
- "Helena was a little Chicago back in the thirties and forties," says a lifelong resident. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.92.98.161 (talk) 17:00, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

Is a lynching notable?
[edit]In regard to this edit: "terrible...but not every lynching is notable." 18-year-old William Turner was lynched in Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas on November 18, 1921. He was shot dead, dragged to the little city park, doused with gasoline and set on fire. Is lynching notable?
Keep Lynchings should not be whitewashed and history that is bad or terrible can be notable as well. -- Thats Just Great (talk) 01:21, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
