War period

@Cva24: Interesting read, was there any more information why he went to England, what mission? How he was captured? etc. Govvy (talk) 13:16, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, records on German POWs in Britain are hard to come by. The UAH Archives have a collection of his documents and files that I could take a look through, but the finding aid indicates they're primarily, if not entirely, from his NASA and later private work. After a bit of looking, it seems like the best chance of further details would be to request information from certain German archives - a tricky proposition for a sadly monolingual English speaker!
