Section deletion error

[edit]

I deleted the following section

Music

Band Logo

Headband is an up and coming cover band based out of Minnesota following in the footsteps of the great Bob Dylan . It was formed in 2006 by Totino-Grace High School Alums Scott Beacher and Chase Endres. They play everything Green Day and Weezer. The boys have been hitting the studio and writing original jams for the 2007 summer run. Category:Headgear de:Stirnband fr:Bandeau (coiffure)

Because it seemed like blatant advertising of a non-significant band (sorry guys?). Anyway, if someone disagrees then whoops, sorry. Lucius Voren 01:05, 13 May 2007 (UTC)Lucius_Voren[reply]

Product of the 1960's rather than the 1980's

[edit]

I don't know about the rest of you, but I tend to think of this accessory as being more of a product of the 1960's. For the 1980's this was too retro and utterly geeky. ---- DanTD 04:22, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cody Stallings

[edit]

It looks like someone decided to add the name "Cody Stallings" to the list of celebrities known for headbands. Could find no reference at all to a musician with this name and am assuming it to be just another joke from some bored college kid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Solificus (talkcontribs) 01:19, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Usage of Fact template

[edit]

A Fact template was recently placed in the Fashion section of this article. Isn't this section chock full of "obvious truths"? Like "the Sun is hot" and "the Earth is round", isn't every claim in this section obviously true? If consensus agrees, then a reference source is not needed, per Template:Fact#When not to use this template, for any claim in this section. So I shall remove the Fact template in a few days unless somebody can justify its use in this section.

Assessment comment

[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Headband/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

83.249.152.69 18:01, 8 May 2007 (UTC) The last part about the band seems to have been added by the bandmembers themselves and doesn't really seem to have anything to do with the article. Didn't want to edit things out since I'm not sure this is the case. Also, sorry if I signed this wrong or something, never done this before.[reply]

Do we really need to see so many muzzie nutters in this article? There are plenty of others who wear headbands and are not raving lunatics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.152.242.2 (talk) 16:17, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Turban

[edit]

The section states clearly that a turban is not a headband. Then why is in here? I added a link to the turban article.

Greek

[edit]

I added links to fillet and tainia, which should help bandaid this article for those looking for Greek headbands.
