Give me time to work on this
[edit]This is on my to do list of articles to clean up, please give me time to get to it...the list is long...but I know I'll be able to source it and add to it. Theophilus75 05:26, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
As for the controversy about his weight, the shoot interview with Bruno Sammartino in the ROH Straight Shootin' series briefly deals with Bruno being the first guy to lift Haystacks. Bruno mentions that Haystacks was weighed for a newspaper article, coming in at 624½ lbs on meat scales. 82.139.86.44 20:31, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

- Support per Moe Syzlak considering Haystacks Calhoun a great man in Moe'N'a Lisa (like Bob Seger). A reference like that only works with a common name. InedibleHulk (talk) 12:13, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

False information on Haystacks Calhoun
[edit]Today I notice that someone decided to put false information about Haystack's height and weight. Haystacks is 6"4 and 601 to 610 pounds and stood at 6"4. The info was edited to 5"9 and 802 pounds claiming it was from WWE.com. I checked WWE.com and it was not true. WWE.com says 6"4 and 601 pounds. I contacted the person that did that and told them not to do it again. The heaviest wrestler was Happy Humphrey was 800 to 1,000 pounds, then the McGurie Twins at 800, Yokozuna 760, Giant Haystacks 690 and Haystacks Calhoun Jr, 685. The heaviest I think Haystacks weighted was 610 pounds. His height is 6"4 as he stood next to Gorilla Monsoon in a picture I found on google in 1968. Please anyone don't use false information until you can find a proper source.Kingzwest (talk) 22:20, 25 June 2020 (UTC) Kingzwest (talk)
He was always introduced on TV as "Haystack Calhoun" singular. False information on the Internet has pluralized the word "haystack". 107.184.247.128 (talk) 10:55, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
