Regardless of it's postal address, it's telephone dialling code, or which council it pays it's rates to, this racecourse is IN Haydock. Not Newton le Willows, Golborne, Ashton or Wigan.
Hence it's title - Haydock Park.
Please try to remember that!
Sandown Park isn't in Sandown: Kempton Park isn't in Kempton. The only honest description would be to say that the course is bordered by Ashton-in-Makerfield to the North, Golborne to the North-East, Newton-le Willows to the South and Haydock to the West.
