The contents of the Hatch Mere Nature Reserve page were merged into Hatchmere on 4 July 2013 and it now redirects there. For the contribution history and old versions of the merged article please see its history.
There is an older existing article covering this area at Hatchmere. I propose that the two are merged, probably at Hatch Mere (currently a redirect to Hatchmere) which is the name of the SSSI. This is especially important as there appears to be conflict over the management of the area, and the two articles essentially represent forks over the different PoVs. I'd support the merge proposal. Although there is perhaps theoretically a distinction to be made between Hatchmere the village and Hatch Mere the lake/reserve/SSSI, they can and should surely be dealt with in the same article. I don't think that the POV difference was the reason for the two articles; the original creator of this article (User:CheshireWildlifeTrust, who was banned indefinitely) appears to have had a specific interest in Cheshire Wildlife Trust reserves and created articles about a number of them, based (rather too closely!) on information provided by the CWT. As a WP:SPA I doubt he or she looked very hard to see whether articles already existed for similar locations. Dave.Dunford (talk) 18:56, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"Hatch Mere" as a title would encourage focus on the lake/NR/SSSI, rather than the hamlet, which might be perhaps best covered within its civil parish, which looks to be Norley. Espresso Addict (talk) 20:20, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
