[edit]Someone postyed this on the article page. I thought it belonged here.--Coemgenus 17:59, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- this is not a geographical edit, but I cannot find a place to enter the info that the local newspaper is not, precisely speaking, the journal news. the journal news covers Westchester County, in which the village of H-o-Hudson resides--a VERY large county. the local newpaper is the Rivertowns Enterprise (covering ONLY H-o-H and its neighboring villages Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, and Ardsley. Its address is 95 Main Street, Dobbs Ferry; its email is rivertownsnews@optonline.net; its telephone is 914-478-2787
- thank you
The Rivertowns Enterprise, covering Hastings-on-Hudson and some other Rivertowns is the current local newspaper. It was preceded by The Hastings Enterprise, a newspaper that covered Hastings only. Known Facts Only! (talk) 07:00, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
- The Enterprise was expanded into being the Rivertowns Enterprise Harrelson3 (talk) 21:28, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
Add Famous Residents
[edit]Town lore had William Shatner of Star Trek a resident in the 1950s -- I suppose this should be officially confirmed somewhere.
Judith Rossner, author of "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" was resident.
I believe that the Italian Nationalist leader Guiseppe Garibaldi lived for a brief period of time in the village. I believe this is mentioned on one of the Museum in the Streets plaques.
Attractions and recreation
