Tell us more
[edit]The article at present doesn't tell us what Mr Khan does or has done - I guess he qualifies as "notable" by being awarded the national award which is mentioned, but please give us some more information about him! PamD (talk) 15:01, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
This is a Fake! Check this link... http://www.rediff.com/news/2009/jan/29govt-to-probe-fake-padma-awardee.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.91.135.75 (talk) 04:19, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- I just made an edit summary in which I said Hashmat Ullah Khan is not notable. After searching his name, he apparently won India's "highest honor" so maybe that does make him notable. However, it is unclear what his accomplishment is/was.
- "Hashmatullah Khan, the 55-year-old Kashmiri Kani shawl promoter and entrepreneur whose nomination for Padma Shri kicked off a row after a section of the J-K bureaucracy questioned his award, has received support from none other than J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah." http://archive.indianexpress.com/news/needless-row-says-omar-hashmatullah-s-padma-shri-legit/416867/ --12.180.133.18 (talk) 00:30, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
