Vandalism

[edit]

This page is frequently vandalised with complete nonsense like that Mr. Brar had declared himself 'eternal leader' of the party. This is not true and is merely the action of a troll. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.174.169.103 (talk) 02:02, 12 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The CPGB-ML page also suffers from such vandalism. Additionally, there are strange unsourced references to "Kimilsungim-Kimjongilism" which appear on both pages occasionally. In one case it was claimed that support for the government of North Korea was an abandonment of Marxism-Leninism. Unless such claims are properly sourced and argued I would suggest removing them. Proletarian

[edit]

The simpled fact of the matter is that they cannot, according to the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 register under any circumstances as "communist" as the CPB already has done so. Here is the relevant section of the Act.

28 Registration of parties

(4) Where a party sends an application to the Commission in accordance with subsection (1), the Commission shall grant the application unless in their opinion the party proposes a registered name which—

(a) would either—

(i) be the same as that of a party which is already registered in the register in which that party is applying to be registered, or

(ii) be likely to result in electors confusing that party with a party which is already registered in respect of the relevant part of the United Kingdom Troublemaker1949 (talk) 07:03, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
