Is he of Swedish descent? The last name Youngblood would be a straightforward americanization of the Swedish last name Ljungblad[ˈjɵŋːˌblɑːd] which is very common.
No, he was not. His dad was from a part of Germany close to France. And his mom was French-Irish. Trust me, I'm his grandson. I didn't write this article, though. Just to add, he was a hilarious old fart. He would have a beer or two every night, but his beer stein held a quart of beer. During a debate, his opponent dropped a flask of whiskey, my grandfather (Opa as we called him) kicked it back to him and said "here, you're gonna need this when I'm through with you." He also thought it was illegal to publish the word Fart in a book. And the funny part is, he was never joking when he said anything funny. Also, he was catholic, but when he was drinking, he'd pull out his hankerchief and start dancing singing Ja ja ja ja, Mazeltov. He's think he was jewish when he got drunk. He did so many funny things, It'd take hours to write the funniest. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.124.98.49 (talk) 00:15, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
