staged episode 303
[edit]staged episode 303 The woman that took a swing at Les and was then escorted out was clearly wearing a wireless mic (protruding from the back of her waist band)
- I noticed that as well, but we already say in the article "Absurd scenes featured in Hardcore Pawn have also been speculated by some to have been staged". To me it was clear that it was staged because a) Les didn't even flinch meaning he knew it was coming and b) The security guard reacted way to fast to grab her arm mid-air as if he knew it was coming. A-la Operation Repo, TruTV is meant for those of us who prefer a little Jerry Springer comedic fake-reality every now and then :) MrCrackers (talk) 09:44, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
- For lack of better terms, that sucks. At the same time, every reality show does this once it goes on to multiple seasons. "How are we gonna up season 1, season 2..?" etc. They need to increase the drama or else the show would fail and/or not have subsequent seasons. Not saying it's right--I don't like being duped just like the next person--but I guess my whole point is to tell people to remember to take all "reality" TV with a grain of salt. Peace. 71.222.124.210 (talk) 17:25, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
It's been our sad experience to say that pretty much all "reality TV" is scripted in advance, though this seems to be more of a compendium of interesting stories that are re-enacted. That said, if that were mentioned in the article, it should be removed, as it is OR. A cited source saying that, on a reliable website, WOULD be acceptable.Wzrd1 (talk) 00:08, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
Nearly all references to this show being staged have been taken out, as have the references to this being "scripted reality." We need to put this back in - J — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.38.247.133 (talk) 19:45, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
Season 10?
[edit]I don't think this show is returning for thee tenth season, it presumes the show cancels. ( Happypillsjr ✉ • contribs) 20:43, 5 June 2016 (UTC) I agree. Also since the company itself has fame from the show, do you think American Jewelry and Loan should have its own separate page? Please give your thoughts. 64.121.83.151 (talk) 03:41, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
