Genes for alcohol metabolism , and their language, already link the austronesians of Taiwan to New Guinea down through all the islands of the Pacific down to NZ. Its known the Maori arrived in New Zealand fairly recently, so language is likely correctly identifying them.


Also the earliest language in Madagascar links back to Malaysia/Borneo- DNA does too.
