In fact one could not call Tiedge an "East German Spy". Tiedge defected to the East, August 1985, in face of his nearly hopeless personal situation (lack of money, indebtedness, alcoholism and related neglect), then revealed some of his knowledge to East German secret police. An "East German agent" ? Poorly researched information by BBC and others, one must state. (Or simply the tendency to simplify and sharpen the more complex facts to a dashing slogan ! I might call this rather desinformation)--129.187.244.19 (talk) 09:36, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
