Verwitterte Meldoie

Pls note, that the song used in "Verwitterte Melodie" is not "Wochenend und Sonnenschein", which, as it was written and composed by two jewish writers, was forbidden by the time the film came out, but instead "Wenn die Woche keinen Sonntag hätt". 95.90.117.239 (talk) 17:04, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect sources and references

A great number of references in this article point to the wrong source. Here is one example I found, concerning the vegetable mural on the "Post Second World War Career" section.

It is written in the article that "he painted allegorical murals using vegetable caricatures, which are now preserved as a national historical monument." This claim is not supported by the attached source (Moritz, W. "The Case of Hans Fischerkoesen". www.awn.com. Retrieved 6 January 2016).

Instead, the closest I could find to a source supporting the claim is this piece of text: "He covered the cellar walls below the camp kitchen with murals of potatoes and other anthropomorphized vegetables, which can still be found at the memorial site today.", which comes from (Klatt, O. "Animated Success: The Life of Germany's Own Walt Disney". www.spiegel.de. Retrieved 28 January 2016), also listed as a source in the article, but cited on this section.

There are many other occurences of similar mistakes, where one piece of information is credited to a source, but actually found on another.

The vegetable mural instance is particularly egregious (and that's why it caught my eye first) because the two versions of the text present quite different meanings: the first states the murals themselves are a national historical monument, the second that they are only part of a memorial site (which, by the way, sounds less important than a "national historic monument").

This citation issue feels extremely important and should be addressed as quickly as possible, but I unfortunately do not have on hand the time and expertise for such an extensive revision.
