This article contains so many inaccuracies I am amazed that it has sat on Wikipedia for so long. I am Hannah’s mother & the person who was so unfairly accused of “helping Hannah get into the top 40”. I made no denials at the time as I believed that course would only add fuel to an already false fire. The journalist who wrote the article for the Sydney Morning Herald rang a few days after the article was published to apologise to both Hannah & myself for the way his original report had been so distorted by the Herald’s editor. But by then it was too late. My daughter’s burgeoning career was ruined & I had to suffer the humiliation from my legal colleagues of explaining the truth of the situation.
Hannah is now 43 years of age (born in 77, not 78), lives in Orange County in California & is happily married to an aerospace engineer. They have 2 beautiful children. Hannah has played flute in various orchestras, including the “Los Angeles Pearce Orchestra”, & she teaches both flute & piano to private students. She also conducts various school orchestras. As she has a Bachelor of Music degree from Sydney University, she often helps out with relief teaching at local high schools where she lives. She still writes popular songs & performs as lead singer in a local rock band. She is & always has been a well-educated, talented musician. One who has been devoted to her music from a very early age. It is so totally unjust that this rubbish still persists on Wikipedia. And it irks me to think that I donated money to Wikipedia when a request for funds to keep it going was made to the public a couple of years ago.
