Spamalot

If you don't see Azaria in the broadway stage play Spamalot while you can (it has finished its run in Chicago, and is now in NY), you'll miss one of the funniest performances--and plays--by anyone in a long time. Azaria, along with David Hyde Pierce and Tim Curry, bring Monty Python to the stage in a way no one could imagine! Although Curry and Pierce have the more familiar faces and Curry has a wealth of history behind him--Azaria nearly steals the show from them both! It is so tempting to try to hear Apu or Moe in his voice when he's playing the taunting frenchman, or the leader of the Knights who say Ni, but, his range of voice is so expansive that not once (and I saw the play twice!) did I hear any of the Simpson's characters on stage. This play will surely put Azaria's face out there where we will all know him by sight and not just by voice anymore! Go Hank--great job. If you did miss Hank in Spamalot, then good news! He plans to return to the show this fall to take on the same roles as he did earlier this year.

I just saw Hank Azaria in Spamalot two days ago, December 14, 2005. Hank's talent is so incredible. His voice and facial expressions on stage are hilarious. As for off-stage, he's a very sweet guy (I met him and he couldn't have been nicer!). Yes, definitely go see Spamalot now while Hank still stars in it! Two big thumbs up!

Bohemian Grove

Azarias involvement with the Bohemian Grove and his appearance in the Alex Jones documentary must be specified. In the versions of the documentary available on Google Video he does not appear, so this information will be removed untll a further and more precise reference is posted.

Old Jewish Man

In a recent appearance on the Tonight Show, he told Leno that Old Jewish Man is based on his (Azaria's) grandmother. I don't know if you can use that or not though... -- Scorpion⁰⁴²² 22:37, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Presumably his other grandmother, because he says he based his role in The Birdcage on his grandmother. Anyway, do you have the exact wording? And the date the show aired? Gran² 22:49, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Independence Day

I'm watching Independence Day right now on cable and I could swear I saw Hank as an extra in one of the scenes. I went on the IMDB and did some googling but didn't find anything. It's the scene soon after Harry Connick Jr gets shot down. They're telling everyone to retreat and the commander or whatever says something and a guy sitting at a computer, who looks a lot like Hank, says something back. Then the commander guy drops his cigar. Is that him or are my eyes just bad? 70.119.16.66 22:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

His age

The article claimed Azaria joined the Simpsons "aged 22". This is impossible, as the show wasn't on the air yet, even as shorts on the Tracy Ullman show.

His first contribution to Some Enchanted Evening, which was filmed before all other Season 1 episodes. This would put it before the air date for the first episode of Season 1 on December 17, 1989, so I'm presuming that Some Enchanted Evening was recorded sometime in mid-to-late 1989, and he would have been 25.

I've updated the article to say this, but if anyone else has info suggesting this is wrong (i.e. if Some Enchanted Evening was recorded earlier) then please change it. --Saforrest (talk) 15:54, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

The Spamalot picture was obviously taken during a performance, which violates copyright law. It should be removed.

Anatasia
