Talk:Handwriting script

I have no idea what this article is about. As far as I can tell, "hand" is a label applied to some styles of writing for no apparent reason; some of these styles have "hand" in the title and some of them don't. The total lack of sources doesn't help either. I believe I may prod this article if there's no response to this and no attempt at clarifying the article's subject. - From the Calligraphy article; "A style of writing is described as a script, hand or alphabet". --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:47, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- That doesn't do much to illuminate the topic of this article or why the listed styles are referred to as "hands." Are the words synonyms? If not, what's the difference? Neither dictionary.com nor wiktionary seems to provide any definition related to this concept except as a synonym for handwriting. Theoldsparkle (talk) 17:28, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
