Hand

[edit]

Is it me, or is that a *right* hand on the cover of that book? Rissa (talk) 17:21, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image Image:VecnaLivesCover.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Notability

[edit]

Hi Drilnoth, I would appreciate that you not remove the notability template, unless you add reliable secondary sources. I realy need citations with footnotes; vague references which don't support the text of this article won't do. Don't forget that in universe content does not provide evidence of notability. --Gavin Collins (talk) 22:37, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is a separate template for a lack of footnotes, appropriately titled {{nofootnotes}}. The following references are all reliable secondary sources:
I disagree with you that in-universe content does not provide evidence of notability, but I do understand that to be Wikipedia's guideline on the matter, so I shall not argue that point. However, there is one paragraph on out-of-universe text. -Drilnoth (talk) 22:41, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please note that WP:REF says that "Editors are free to use any of these [general reference, footnote, shortened footnote, or parenthetical reference] methods or to develop new methods; no method is preferred." Therefore, what you "really need" (per your original question) doesn't matter on the topic of how references are presented. -Drilnoth (talk) 22:43, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
